I devoured this book in one sitting! I could not put it down! I was definitely overtired the next day when getting tiny human up for school but it was so worth it when reading the romance of Sophie and Ike! Sophie is a spitfire! She is strong, independent and sassy. The narration was perfect, really enjoyed both Kristen Leigh & Jason Clark.

Oh and he volunteered with an animal rescue so that made me love him even more ) I wish there were more stories like this one that left me feeling happy and light hearted when it was over. Ike was a strong silent type who had a little baggage but didn't let that change who he was. Sophie was a girl next door who loves her huge family and was honestly proud of the people in her life for their accomplishments. I really liked how real these characters were. This made me fall in love with their relationship. SOOOO GOOOOD! I loved the dating and getting to know each other part of this book especially, they truly enjoyed each other, laughed, flirted and completely acted like themselves. no Fake relationship, no forbidden romance, no relationship drama. The couple meet, they are attracted to each other, he asks her out and they actually date and get to know each other. This book was a breath of fresh air for me! It seems like most contemporary romance lately have the same 2-3 tropes filled with drama. Is letting him in a mistake? Or will it be the best thing I’ve ever done? I have the mended broken heart to prove it and have no intention of doing it again.Įxcept the frustrating man is convincing, and my walls are quickly lowering-especially when I feel responsible for possibly upending his career. It’s so much more than that.īut I’ve been there, done that. And he’s doing everything in his power to convince me that he’s not just a player-in any form of the word.
